The main course on the real estate menu along the Harbourfront comprises high-rise apartment buildings. Many of the developments have been in place for decades, but new construction is relatively constant in the area, providing home buyers with a diverse selection of condo styles and costs, the majority of which have unobstructed water views. The community comprises working professionals and is family-friendly, with easy access to a variety of schools, community centers, urban parks, and childcare facilities, among other amenities.

Cliffcrest

Cliffcrest, located on the shores of Lake Ontario, is a highly prized neighborhood for waterfront real estate in the greater Toronto area. This neighborhood, which includes the spectacular Scarborough Bluffs, is a beautiful seaside residential suburb part of the greater Scarborough area. There are no high-rise condo buildings made of glass and metal in this neighborhood. Instead, homebuyers can find reasonably priced housing, primarily in the form of detached and semi-detached houses and bungalows from the 1940s and 1950s, as well as newer custom homes built to order.

The Cliffcrest community includes a waterfront cottage community located south of Kingston Road for those interested in purchasing an estate with breathtaking lake views. Additionally, there is a small area where boathouses are available for purchase on the water. The neighborhood is family-oriented, with good schools and amenities such as several small shopping plazas scattered throughout the area, offering various services, dining options, and professional and medical offices. The neighborhood is also safe, with no speed bumps or potholes.

Bluffers Park, a lakeside park and marina with a large beach, picnic areas, yacht clubs, and a waterfront eatery, is one of the recreational options available to residents of Bluff. In addition to Tots Park, which features a children’s playground and a baseball diamond, Halbert Park, located on the northern side of Cliffcrest, offers a wading pool, a garden, sports fields, and an outdoor pool popular destination for local families.

Mimico

Mimico is a Toronto neighborhood that is well-known for its natural beauty and reasonably priced real estate. The up-and-coming neighborhood is a part of Etobicoke, a district in Toronto’s west-end short commute from the city’s central business district.

Compared to other parts of town, waterfront real estate is less expensive here, and homebuyers can choose from a variety of charming bungalows dating from the 1920s to the 1940s, as well as an abundance of vintage Tudor-style and Arts and Crafts-style properties. Lake Shore Boulevard is also home to some magnificent mansions with breathtaking lake views, as well as new construction alternatives such as custom waterfront residential properties developments and townhomes available for purchase.

The lively, diverse society is well-connected by public transportation. It is home to excellent schools and nearby amenities, such as shopping malls with a diverse selection of eclectic, locally-owned shops and restaurants worth visiting.

Mimico takes great pride in hosting various events and local competitions throughout the year. It also provides residents with excellent recreational opportunities, including beautiful waterfront parks and parkettes, boardwalks, and diverse, lush landscapes to explore. Sporting events such as lacrosse and hockey are held at the Mimico Arena, and the community can also enjoy a variety of sports clubs, swimming pools, community centers, and libraries. The neighborhood’s waterfront connects to the Mark Goodman Trail, which provides cyclists with a direct and challenging commute to Downtown.

Birchcliffe-Cliffside

Birchcliffe-Cliffside is rated as the best beachfront real estate Toronto in the Scarborough division, located east of The Beaches and north of the Don Valley. Located in the Scarborough Bluffs, with a picturesque backdrop of Lake Ontario and the Scarborough Bluffs, the area is approximately a 30-minute drive from downtown Toronto. Residential property in the tranquil, small neighborhood is in high demand, particularly among homebuyers who desire a suburban beachfront lifestyle.

Single-family detached two-story homes dominate the real estate market in Birchcliffe-Cliffside, with a few exceptions. The housing stock consists of a mix of original homes built between 1910 and 1950 and modern houses constructed in the 1980s and 1990s. Tudor, Cape Cod, and Edwardian architectural styles can all be found in this neighborhood, and most of the homes have beautifully landscaped side yards.

The Fallingbrook District, a prime real estate pocket filled with magnificent, stately homes overlooking Lake Ontario, is among the highly searched areas of Birchcliffe-Cliffside for homebuyers, also one of the most expensive. In addition to single-family homes, there are a few condominiums for sale along Kingston Road and throughout the neighborhood’s northern side.m
