This means that if you’re thinking about renting an apartment, you may need to budget for a higher monthly payment than you originally anticipated. Additionally, you may want to consider looking for a roommate to help split the cost of the rent.

For example, if you were renting a two-bedroom apartment for $1,445 per month and you shared a room with another person, your monthly cost would be reduced to $722.50 per month, which could make it more affordable to rent.

5) Homeownership Rates

One of the final trends to be aware of is that homeownership rates have been declining in recent years. This is due to a variety of factors, such as the rise in rental prices and the decrease in affordability. However, this trend may start to reverse itself in the future, as more people become interested in buying homes again.

For example, according to the National Association of Realtors, the number of first-time homebuyers has been on the rise in recent months. Additionally, the number of existing home sales has also been increasing.
