Temperature

Achieving the best optimal temperature for your grow room can result in the healthiest cannabis plant development. The right HVAC system and equipment can ensure the required temperature is reached and kept steady. And, if you can’t achieve the desired temperature, it can lead to disaster.

With indoor farming, cannabis is particularly at the forefront. There is added demand for fresh produce, but most of the indoor agriculture is coming from cannabis. Tight control of the environment is important for cannabis farming.  A cannabis plant requires the temperature to be between 72°F and 85°F  and 10°F lower during the night. Moving out of these parameters for long can affect the development of the plant by making it vulnerable to diseases and a weak immune system.

Temperature control happens to be the crucial aspect of an HVAC system. Setting a specific temperature is an easy thing to do, but changing the environment as the plant develops can be another thing. Having several grow rooms can also be overwhelming when it comes to managing the temperature. This is because plants growing at various rates need different things. Therefore, you need to get an HVAC system that suits the grow room.

Humidity

One of the biggest challenges you can face with a grow room HVAC system is how to control the relative humidity. When the cannabis is growing, it produces and releases water. You need to remove this moisture from the grow room to prevent it from becoming too humid. This climate control in the grow facilities can be a huge challenge for an HVAC system. This is because there can be a lot of moisture that needs to be removed, especially in large grow rooms.

If you intend to build your indoor grow room, then you need a purpose-built system. This system has a climate control system so that you can achieve cooling and dehumidification. You can also consider expanding it because it only has a single heating, cooling, and dehumidifying component. This can assist to reduce energy waste and cost. Therefore, make sure that you discuss with your HVAC company about your needs and how to incorporate this purpose-built system into the design for your grow room.
