Oriental rugs have been a staple of interior design for centuries, and are the perfect addition to any home. They add warmth and character to any room, and they’re also incredibly durable. However, if you don’t take care of them properly, they can quickly become damaged and worn. But even if you’ve had one for years, it’s still important to know how to maintain and care for your rug.

Whether you’re looking to add some flair to your living room or want to make your bedroom cozier and inviting, an oriental rug is a perfect way to do it. But what if you’ve got an oriental rug that’s looking a little worse for wear? What if you don’t know how to clean it?

When you own an oriental rug, it’s like having a baby: you have to care for it, nurture it and protect it from harm. But accidents happen! And when they do, you need to get the best help possible so that your precious rug doesn’t get hurt. A professional oriental rug cleaning company will be able to restore your rug to its original beauty and condition.

So how do you keep your oriental rugs in great condition?

One of the best ways to take care of your rug is by cleaning it regularly— This ensures that the colors stay vibrant and the fibers remain strong, which will help keep it looking like new for years to come. However, if you want to clean your own rug (which is absolutely fine!), there are a few things that need to be taken before starting the cleaning and maintenance process:

– First things first: make sure that any pets or children are out of the room where you’ll be working on your rug so that they don’t accidentally get hurt! Then turn off any heaters or air conditioners in.

– Vacuum the rug carefully using a soft-bristled brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner. This will remove dust from underneath the fibers without damaging them.

– Remove any stains with an upholstery shampoo recommended by a professional cleaner or manufacturer of your choice; this should always be diluted according to instructions on the label before use.

– Use a clean cloth dampened with cold water (you can also use a neutral detergent if desired) and blot gently until the stain is removed completely; do not rub as this may cause damage!

– You should also consider storing your rug properly when it is not in use by rolling it up tightly and placing it somewhere dry where it will not get damaged by sunlight or moisture (such as in an attic).

– You may also want to consider having a professional restorer come out once every few months for an inspection so they can make sure everything looks good from an aesthetic perspective.

You might be surprised to learn that cleaning your oriental rug is not a one-time thing. In fact, it’s one of those things that should be done periodically, even if you don’t notice any dust or dirt on your rug. That’s because all rugs need to be cleaned and restored by professional oriental and area rug cleaning experts, at least every 2-3 years. Why?

A) Your rug will last longer

B) It can help prevent fading and damage caused by UV light

C) If you have pets, they can cause damage and stains on your rug that require professional treatment.

D) Your rug needs to be cleaned regularly to keep it looking its best. If you wait too long between cleanings, dirt and grime can build up on the surface of the rug and make it look dingy or even break down the fibers.

E) If you don’t clean your rug regularly, bacteria can grow on its surface as well as in its fibers, which can create an unpleasant smell and cause respiratory problems for anyone who spends time near it.

F) Oriental rugs often have very intricate designs that require special care—for example, if they’re made with silk or wool, they should never be machine-washed because that could damage their delicate fibers irreparably!

G) Even if your rug has been professionally cleaned recently, over time dirt can collect around its edges or underneath furniture that sits on top of it (like couches) making them

H) It will keep your home looking beautiful!

If you’ve ever owned an oriental rug, then you know they’re not just some pretty thing to look at. They’re a symbol of your identity, a part of your family history—and they’re also one of the most valuable investments you can make in home decor.
